Alert Board Moderator about this Post!
During 2008 assurances were received
from 4 security and investigation agents.
An assurance is where a trader or
individual states in writing that they will
refrain from a particular unlawful activity.
These assurances were received
voluntarily after investigation by OCBA.
The allegations have not been proven
in a court of law. However, a trader
that breaches an assurance may be
prosecuted for both the initial offence
and the breach of the assurance.
OCBA makes the Assurance Register
publicly available on its website and
publishes it in its annual report.
