Industry frustration is mounting at the lack of consistency among plice forces on monitoring station contact, protocols, and alarm response Beyond a select number of policy wonks and industry players,  however, the issues are far from public knowledge, with many in the industry unaware of the problems.  What tends to happen is that police develop response policies, submit them to the commissioner's office,  here they can languish for months.
