Have not been on for awhile but happy to help no charge for Security.  I like to see it done right.

Hi David,

Just wondering if you have any pre-training tip for my male GSD before he becomes "of age" for security training?

He is 5 months now and already super protective - I have trained him via hand commands already for Sit, Stay, Down, Up, Come and Please (Beg - but its more of an ungraceful leap into the air)

He is still a bit bitey due to his teething and jumps up alot, But i think he will be a great working dog in future.

He is socially trained via puppy preschool and the dog beach here so is pretty good with other dogs.

thanks for any tips in advance!

ta Smiley

Just wanted to touch base and see whom is out there.  Me I have 10+ as a doggie and consider myself to be honest and hardworking.

I have bred dogs that have gone to the RAAFPOL / AQIS / SECURITY. SAR Belgian Malinois.

I am keen to train with others and share my knowledge from the tears.

Professionally you work for this or it’s your hobby?  Can you help me to train my dog who is just 3 month old?

omar - who was that question directed too?

training is an ongoing thing for all dogs throughout their life.  some parts are done on your own like obedience and focus but agility and protection work needs assistance (from someone who knows what theyre doing!)

Do you train your dogs yourself or they are already trained?

Just out of interest, I came across a tourist attraction at Stanthorpe called "LawDogs Australia" where future police and security dogs get trained. It was on Gumtrees Australia. They were looking for customer/sales assistants. Huh
If I have some time I might go up to the dark cold side of Queensland and have a look  soon.
