G4S may have lost a major contract locally (Victoria), and one would assume SA also?

A contract they won when a certain vehicle manufacturer was looking to downsize and ways to save $$$ a few years ago and left their long time supplier of services, MSS Security.

I noticed that the previous supplier of services was advertising for staff at three locations in Victoria which were locations of said vehicle manufacturer.

Those familiar with vehicle manufacturing will recognise the locations listed in the job link below.

https://msssecurity.elmotalent.com.au/careers/careers/job/view/555

So it looks like whatever may be left of Holden in Victoria will be returning to MSS Security sooner rather than later.

This seems to be a pretty big bed every Tom, Dick and Harry is laying in! It's getting to be you don't know who is in bed with who.

G4S is making some odd moves. It priced itself out of the Patient Transfer Services here in Victoria for Ambulance Victoria during the last round of tenders, quite deliberately some say.

G4S Security have been successful in obtaining and retaining some contracts of late though.

I wonder if this Chinese 'investor' is in fact GuardForce (owner of SecureCorp) who are situating themselves for an increase in operations in Australia. SecureCorp have lost some corporate based contracts of late, uncertain on any 'new' contract pick ups though.

GuardForce have snaffled Mr. George Chin (who was Chairman of the Board for MSS Security) and then Harrie Veerman (formally ISS overseas, then MSS Security General Manager in Vic/Tas).
Wonder if we'll see a re-branding take place in the next year or two at SecureCorp?

Under Harrie Veerman MSS in Victoria had a quite sizeable and exceptionally healthy turnaround when he was on board. At one point it was an 18% increase in under twelve months. That did not include retention of existing contracts, simply new ones.

Also lead to believe that SIS Group (India) / MSS Security have increased their stake in South Cross Protection in the last year. Southern Cross Protection have pretty much absorbed and re-branded all of Charter Security since their initial purchase of the Charter Loss Prevention business.

SIS Group also remains a financial investor in Prosguer (formally CHUBB Armoured).

See what I mean about a big bed? SXP, MSS, Prosguer, SIS and Charter are all in bed together on various joint ventures or businesses with Mike McKinnon (Chief Executive Officer & Vice Chairman CEO SIS International Business) at the helm locally.

Now we have this GuardForce and SecureCorp thing, with some big names formally of MSS heading it up.

And G4S running around with their main business and their little offsider arm available to tender for jobs for that 'slightly cheaper' option under the G4S banner. (Pretty much how they snaffled Holden from MSS Security).

Bigger question is why does G4S want out of the Australian Market?

Contracts being sold to a chinese investor ? If they're being sold to them, That makes them the owner not an investor.
An investor would be someone that owns a percentage or shares in a company. Not the contracts exclusively
