From what I heard from other guards working for MA, they keep everything they do a secret. Many of them are under an ABN and on flat rates. Which does not come as a surprise considering how many accounts they are snatching up. One story I head was that one has been with them for a while and was not paid until 6 weeks later but no pay stub was given. Sure they can hide behind their EBA but they are only engaging in Sham contracting, how else are they able to beat their competitors in price?

I have been informed that M.A.Security Group is conducting sham contracting which is illegal. I encourage any visitors to this page and who are working for MA Security Group to evaluate their working conditions and see if in fact they are working in a sham contracted position by referring to this page: http://ausecurityworker.com/sham_contracting.html

MA Security Group have an approved Enterprise Bargaining Agreement: https://www.fwc.gov.au/documents/documents/agreements/fwa/ae423438.pdf

It is interesting to see the agreement that was supposedly passed the vote of workers before it was submitted to the Fair Work Commission. The Fair Work Commission found so many working conditions and pay in the original agreement that were below what was prescribed in Security Services Industry Award.

The company was required by the Fair Work Commission to give undertakings to amend the conditions in the original agreement as can be seen from the first 6 pages of the agreement. It is illegal for any company to present any Enterprise Bargaining Agreement without the FWC Decision letter and any undertakings the company was required to give.

If you have been furnished with an Enterprise Bargaining Agreement by this company check to see whether it contains the Decision and Undertakings pages.

If you believe that you are not being employed under the conditions prescribed by the Decision and Undertakings of the M.A. Security Services EBA then take your complaint to the Fair Work Ombudsman: https://www.fairwork.gov.au/contact-us
